Overview

There are two major features regarding environmental data.

Turning environmental layer on

  1. Open up [Environment] panel by clicking the title bar.
  2. Set the time range for which the environmental layer is picked up. See the description below for more details.
  3. Choose one of the layers to show. See the layer description below.

Time range

There are two ways to specify a time range for which the environmental layer is picked up.

Date format & rules

The following formats are accepted as a date (in the order of priority):

with or without a leading zero for month and day
YYYY/M/D 2001/05/06 or 2001/5/6
with or without a leading zero for month and day

Layer information

Sea Surface Temperature

Unit Degree Celsius
Notes
  • When the temporal scale is set to "day", an 8 Day average that the selected date belongs to is picked up.
  • Minimum overall quality flag = 4; 2005 yearly data are from the NOAA-17 interim HDF.
   

Sea Surface Height
