Abstract:
This catalog of seabird colonies along the west coast of the United States during the year 1980, was compiled by the Minerals Management Service (MMS) and distributed as part of the Computerized Database Analysis System (CDAS) version 2.1 CD. This CD was prepared by Glenn Ford and Janet Casey from the Ecological Consulting Inc. (Portland, Oregon), and published in March 2001. The identity and number of seabirds breeding at each site, identified by a unique name and 6-digit code, is listed using two record types: presence/absence (P) and population abundance (A). Because these are annual counts, they are tagged with a unique time/date stamp of noon, July 1, 1980.
