In addition to understanding their nesting ecology, the migration behavior and whereabouts in the ocean are equally important. The purpose of the current study is to deploy as many satellite tags as possible to understand fully its post-nesting migration routes, rest/foraging areas and the influence of currents to the migration of green turtles. Furthermore, the combination of satellite tracking with genetic studies allow us to construct comprehensive conservation measures on a regional and international basis.
<purpose>To understand the whereabouts of green turtles that nest in Taiwan, and the influence of currents to the migration behavior.</purpose><supplinf/></descript><citation><citeinfo><origin>Cheng, I</origin><pubdate>2012</pubdate><title>Green sea turtle satellite tracking in the Nansha and Penghu Archipelagos 2000-2005</title><onlink>https://doi.org/10.82144/ab98cefd</onlink><serinfo><sername>OBIS-SEAMAP</sername><issue>742</issue></serinfo><pubinfo><pubplace>http://seamap.env.duke.edu/dataset/742</pubplace><publish>OBIS-SEAMAP</publish></pubinfo><edition>Version 1.0.0</edition></citeinfo></citation><timeperd><current>ground condition</current><timeinfo><rngdates><begdate>2000-05-28</begdate><enddate>2005-10-26</enddate></rngdates></timeinfo></timeperd><status><progress>Complete</progress><update>None planned</update></status><spdom><bounding><westbc>110.1</westbc><eastbc>130.865</eastbc><northbc>32.344</northbc><southbc>4.8005</southbc></bounding><lboundng><leftbc Sync="TRUE">110.1</leftbc><rightbc Sync="TRUE">130.865</rightbc><bottombc Sync="TRUE">4.8005</bottombc><topbc Sync="TRUE">32.344</topbc></lboundng></spdom><accconst>Open public unless otherwise noted.
