All porpoises were obtained from herring weirs on the island of Grand Manan, New Brunswick, Canada (44 deg 45' N, 67 deg 45' W) during the summer months (July - September). Details on each porpoise are given in the summary table. Positional data are obtained via Service ARGOS (http://www.argosinc.com/). See Read and Westgate (1997) for complete details of tagging methods.
